AMOGELANG NGAKE is a contemporary painter and drawer who considers her work to be the mouthpiece and voice for the voiceless. Her work stems from various life experiences and is informed by her struggles and desire for change in several areas including social justice, female empowerment, spirituality, and mental health awareness. “My works seeks to unveil and heal stereotypical and problematic topics many would rather ignore.” - Amogelang. Paint, pencil, pen, oil pastel, charcoal recycled materials, kitchen waste and found objects are some of the mediums she uses in her art. To sustain herself she uses her love of visual art to create merchandise to client specifications.
