Thuto Boikhutso

The resilience of the human spirit led THUTO BOIKHUTSO (T-DOMZ ART) to being the artist that he is today. THUTO’S love of art was influenced by his grandfather’s drawings. However, his passing caused THUTO’s family to relocate numerous times which led him to a life of crime, drugs and forgotten talent. During his rehabilitation he managed to revive his love of art but this was soon stifled by the desperate need of an income at home and he turned to illegal mining. It was only when he left mining to start recycling waste material that he felt inspired continue pursuing his career in fine art once more. THUTO’s persistence is a reminder of the validity of all our artistic ambitions.
