Siphesihle Hlatshwayo

Siphesihle uses precision to render realistic drawings in pencil then adds candle smoke applied to tissue paper to enhance the intricacy of his creations. He aims to capture the essence of life and the contemporary black experience in the portraits he draws as his subjects. His notable accolades include receiving the Segarona Gauteng East District Trophy which led him to his debut exhibition at Springs Gallery in 2021. SIPHESIHLE is currently pursuing an education in fine arts at Tshwane University of Technology.
