Clement Maenetja

CLEMENT MAENETJA is a fine artist and ceramicist who started ceramics when He enrolled to tertiary and fell in love with it. He enjoys working with clay because although it’s easy to manipulate, the process is involved before you can have finished piece. He studied Fine and Applied Art at Tshwane University of Technology where He completed his B-Tech, majoring in ceramics. In June 2020, CLEMENT was the third overall winner of the Innibos National Craft Award for his stunning range of ceramic plates, created to resemble the enamel plates from memories of his youth. “I am one of those people that are attached to memories, so I think yesterday is better today” - CLEMENT MAENETJA. He was also part of Design Indaba in 2021, where he exhibited his beautiful ceramic plates.
